Congratulations: Our own LaMont & Laraine Harris were inducted into the World Senior Games Hall of Fame!
As foundational pioneers of the Square Dance discipline at the Games, LaMont and Laraine Harris have spent 19 years breaking down barriers and recruiting dancers across Utah and Idaho. Winners of gold, silver, and bronze medals, their true hallmark is community-first sportsmanship. They routinely split up their own partnership to dance with stranded or solo competitors. Furthermore, when an official Round Dance Cuer suffered a medical emergency, LaMont utilized his professional skills to immediately take over the program with zero preparation time, saving the event for the participants.
They didn’t mention Laraine’s warmth or fabulous coordinated outfits and nails, or LaMont’s playful nature and encouraging teaching, so come to club dances and see them for yourself!
